                            RESOLUTION NO.   20353 
                  (Amended by #20997)
                 
                  A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER
                  INTO A CONTRACT WITH THE TENNESSEE DEPARTMENT
                  OF TRANSPORTATION, RELATIVE TO REPLACEMENT OF
                  THE OLD HARRISON PIKE BRIDGE OVER CHICKAMAUGA
                  CREEK, WITH THE CITY OF CHATTANOOGA'S PORTION
                  NOT TO EXCEED NINETY-SEVEN THOUSAND DOLLARS
                  ($97,000.00).

       	    	 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
       CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That the Mayor be and is hereby 
authorized
       to enter into a Contract with the Tennessee Department of
       Transportation (Contract No. 393), relative to replacement of the 

       Old Harrison Pike Bridge over Chickamauga Creek, with the City of 

       Chattanooga's portion of the total estimated cost of $485,000.00
       not to exceed $97,000.00.  Said cost is to be funded from State
       Street Aid Bridge Projects.
